Ingredients
- 500g minced meat (lamb, beef, or chicken)
- 2 tablespoons oil or ghee
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
- 2 green chilies, slit (adjust to taste)
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnishing
- Optional: peas or potatoes
Instructions
- Heat oil or ghee in a heavy skillet over medium heat.
- Add cumin seeds; once they splutter, add onions. Sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in garlic, ginger, and green chilies; cook for another minute.
- Add tomatoes, salt, and cook until they break down and oil separates.
- Mix in minced meat, stirring until browned.
- Add coriander powder, garam masala, and any optional ingredients like peas or diced potatoes.
- Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
