Who are your biggest musical influences?
My musical influences span across various genres and decades, shaping my sound and approach to creating music. Growing up, I was heavily inspired by the legendary Bob Dylan. His storytelling and lyrical depth taught me the importance of words in songwriting. The way he captures emotions and societal issues has always resonated with me.
Another major influence is Jimi Hendrix. His innovative guitar playing and boundary-pushing style opened my eyes to the possibilities of music and expression. I admire how he seamlessly blended blues, rock, and psychedelic elements, which encourages me to explore different sounds in my own work.
I also look up to Beyoncé, who represents a powerful force in the music industry. Her ability to fuse R&B with pop, while also addressing themes of empowerment and social justice, inspires me to use my platform for meaningful messages.
Additionally, The Beatles have profoundly influenced my understanding of melody and harmony. Their experimentation with song structure and instrumentation encourages me to think outside the box in my compositions.
Lastly, I cannot overlook the impact of Adele. Her emotive vocal delivery and relatable themes have shown me the significance of vulnerability in music.
Each of these artists contributes to my artistic journey, pushing me to evolve and stay true to my musical identity.
